We have a broad range of services to provide both compassionate and skilled care for individuals of all ages who suffer with psychological, emotional and cognitive disorders. These psychiatric services include comprehensive evaluation, outpatient consultation and treatment.
Our staff includes Board Certified Psychiatrists, and a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, who have expertise in adult, child and adolescent, and geriatric psychiatric disorders. In addition, our center has Board Certified and Licensed professional social workers, a clinical nurse specialist, professional and caring office staff, including a full time psychiatric registered nurse, who is there to assist our clients, and a licensed professional counselor who provides a full range of treatment modalities tailored to the personal needs of each of our clients. These include crisis intervention, long term and short term psychotherapy for individuals, families, couples, and group therapy. Our staff is trained to provide supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
In addition to providing services at the Brownell Center, our Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists provide services to the community through their work at Greenville Mental Health Center, Piedmont Mental Health Center and The Phoenix Center.
This broad range of services is provided through a variety of fee arrangements which include Medicare, managed care and other insurance programs, as well as reduced self-pay rates.
