Dr. Griffeth is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist. He has been in practice for more than 10 years in the Upstate and Western Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Columbia and attended his psychiatric residency at the University of Virginia, Roanoke-Salem Program.
He is the Vice Chairman of Psychiatry with primary responsibility for academics. He serves as the Clerkship Director for the Third Year and Fourth Year students in medical school and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for both University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia and Greenville.
He has served a decade in the Navy Reserves with deployments to the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan. His areas of interest include: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, the interface between psychiatry and primary care medicine, disaster psychiatry and emergency psychiatry.
